How can students use the Law of Attraction?

Whether you have seen the hit movie, “The Secret” or not, I’m sure you can relate to a person who always seems to get the breaks. You know someone who has a “things will work out alright” approach to life. Well, let’s face, things generally do for that person.

Students and Law of Attraction
That, in essence, is the message of The Secret. It’s really not such a secret when you think about it. Pessimists have a lot of negative things happen to them. Optimists have a lot of positive things happen to them.

Another name for this is the Law of Attraction. You attract into your life what you think about: good or bad. Let’s take a moment and see how this would work when applied to education.

When sitting down to learn something, begin thinking positive thoughts about yourself as a learner. Each time you sit down to study or read, begin by saying, “I am a good learner. I can understand this.” You can add more if you like but that is enough.

As you continue to study, repeat your affirmations from time to time. Maybe you could write them down on an index card and have them nearby.

When it’s time to study for a test, you could change it a bit and say, “I’m going to do well on this test. I know this material and I’m going to show it tomorrow.”

When it’s time to take the test, repeat to yourself; “I know this stuff. I know this material. I can get this.” Remember to say it to yourself from time to time throughout the test.

Now, before you brush this off as silly, let’s look at how most students (probably you, too) approach learning.

When you sit down to learn something you say, “I’m not smart like other people. I don’t understand things easily. If only I were smarter, my life would be so much easier.”

When it’s time to study you say, “I don’t get this. This is stupid. Why do we have to learn this stuff anyway?”

When it’s time to take the test, you say, “What is the answer to this? I don’t even think we had to study this. I can’t get this.”

And the worst part about this is, these things are being said so often in your head you don’t even realize it. If you’re like most people, you probably have even more negative phrases in your head.
Who is going to learn more in the long run?
It’s obvious. The person, who is positive, attracts positive thoughts, positive events and positive outcomes into their life.
It’s time to take the Law of Attraction seriously. You really do attract into your life the thoughts that you have in your head, whether they are good thoughts or bad thoughts.
The changes you’ll see will be mind-blowing.
