Success Story: Got the Job With the Secret
A year ago I applied for a job with a large massage company and was turned down. So a year later, my mother-in-law let me read her copy of The Secret. I read it, and knew that it made sense.
Since I was currently looking for employment, I decided to give it a try. I told my husband, I got a new job. He asked me where, and I told him that I didn’t know yet. You can imagine the confused look on his face. I then handed him the book and told him to read it so I didn’t look like a complete nut. Lo and behold about a month later, my friend said that he was quitting his position at the company and told me that he would drop off my resume for me if I wanted him to. I tried to find a copy but couldn’t. So I thought that the job was lost to me.
Well about 2 weeks after that, I got a voicemail from the company – but it was for someone else. I emailed them and told them of the mistake because I didn’t want to ruin this woman’s chance of employment. They emailed me back and extended the offer of an interview to me.
Wow, right? It gets better.
I was still trying to test The Secret at this point. So on the day of the interview, I called my husband before I left and told him that I got it. I got a confused “OK” from him. I then said that there was no need to worry, that the job was mine, that I would be hired that day.
Sure enough she hired me on the spot. I have been happily employed with them ever since.
The Secret works, and I am grateful that it did and will continue to do so.
